Scarlett's sir

Holly is a proven female with exceptional staple length, good density and crimp. With her easy-going, laid back demeanor, she never spits at humans or other alpacas, and is easy to handle for routine health care. Holly has passed all these wonderful traits to her first cria, Simply Southern's James Longstreet. His IgGs was over 2000 and his birth weight was nearly 20 pounds. Holly also exhibits a high feed-to-weight conversion, and her body condition is excellent – she does not draw down even when nursing. All of these factors combined make her an excellent production female.

AOA Awesome Alpacas' Pacolet

Simply Southern's Stonewall Jackson
Due Date:  TBD - breeding Spring 2010
Price:  $15,000 bred, with complimentary rebreeding to any wholly-owned SSA herdsire

Pacolet is a foundation-quality proven female. Pacolet’s sire is Ross, a Pluro son, who has been an integral part of the breeding program at Alpacas of America.  She recently produced Meli (pictured above), a dark-eyed medium silver grey female by a white sire, which is incredible even given her lineage.

Pacolet’s dam is a brown Chilean from the last import in 1998, which is well regarded for its rigorous selection criteria. Pacolet is currently bred to ELK Hercules for a May 2009 cria. Hercules is known for producing fineness in his offspring. Her superb breeding, combined with her exceptional fineness for her age and beautiful rose grey color, makes us confident that the resulting cria will be well-positioned to enjoy a low micron for life.

Parnaiba is our from our foundation herd. She's given us wonderful cria, including a rose grey daughter, Pacolet (see above).  She is a fantastic dam -- never needs assistance with deliveries and milks like a Jersey cow! All her cria have had IgG's over 1500. She is a solid producer and has always taken on the first breeding. This girl is an easy keeper and does not draw down in body condition when nursing.  You can't go wrong with this girl!

DOB:  1/1/97
ARI: 808419

Dam: Unknown

Sire: Unknown
Service Sire:
 TBD

Due Date:  TBD - breeding Spring 2010
Price: $12,000 bred, plus complimentary rebreeding to any SSA wholly-owned herdsire

Gaby is the dam of SA PERUVIAN DARK KNIGHT, a grand champion herdsire. She was imported from the Putina Estancia, well-known for their fawn and brown alpacas. Putina utilized herdsires from the Sollocata co-op, so it is likely Gaby carries these genes. She has had an excellent production record producing 5 females and 2 males to date. All of her cria have been healthy with high birthweights and IgGs. An experienced mother at 11 years old, Gaby is the perfect production dam with timely breedings and easy catches.
Her 2008 cria just took a ribbon in large class of juveniles at the VAOBA show. Even though he was one of the youngest in his class, Judge Kevin O'Leary questioned his age, due to incredible size and his looking more "mature" than the older boys.  Gaby's 2007 cria, Sophia, sold as a maiden.
